Anna McIntire's dream of being an accountant turned into a reality, thanks to Ohio Northern University.
Anna found her perfect fit at ONU, selecting the University for its small school environment and the prestigious AACSB-accredited business program. She valued the challenge and structure her major provided, and it aligned with her organized personality.
On campus, she was an active leader in Beta Alpha Psi, Beta Gamma Sigma, and her favorite, the Dean's Advisory Council for the College of Business.
"Working closely with the Dean and connecting with the campus and community was an incredible experience," she said.
Her involvement gave her invaluable opportunities to hone her communication skills, especially through interactive events like student panels.
Anna's passion for accounting started early when a seventh-grade shadowing project introduced her to Prieto & Schott CPAs. That experience sparked her passion for tax accounting. After graduation, she returned to the same firm to begin her career as a tax accountant.
With internships, real-world experience, and strong relationships built at ONU, Anna was fully prepared for her future.
"The tight-knit community at ONU gave me so much," she reflected, "I was proud to be part of it."
